One day she asks me, “What if you have a vivid memory of place, but you’ve never been there.” “Is that possible?” “Just say it is.” “Ok?” “Well – then, it’s the same as having been there, isn’t it?”
I love your written thougts along with the paintings. They give the picure even more depth for me. The oils were a fantastic substitue. I am fascinated by your thick paint technique. Kudos! chris draheim – cidbits@gmail.com.
Hi Marc, as I am currently on vacation and have discovered soft pastels as an exciting new medium for myself over the last few weeks, I am not taking part in the challenge this year, but I am following your daily publications with great interest and excitement. I think it is important and essential to face new media and challenges in order to leave my comfort zone and can therefore very well understand and confirm your thoughts at the beginning of the month. Will there be a summary of your findings and experiences with the medium of oil paint after this challenge? I personally would find this very exciting, as well as which color palette you used, whether you limit yourself to a few colors and thus come up with new and interesting mixtures, etc. I am fascinated by the layering and the color and mixing nuances within the respective color applications. Relaxed greetings to Canada from the Balearic Islands
