Workshop Announcement! : Exploring Cortona with a Sketchbook, June 2015

November 30, 2014

I’m excited to announce a one week sketching workshop in Cortona, Italy, to take place this upcoming June 8-15, 2015.

This will be my first time sketching in Italy, so we’re working in partnership with the art-tour operator Toscana Americana. We’ll be based in Cortona, with day trips to Siena, Lake Trasimeno and San Feliciano (day transportation included). Our hosts have arranged wine tastings and dinners each evening, and there are options for transport to and from the airport in Florence to the home base in Cortona.

Read all about it on the workshop page HERE:

Wow Marc! How fabulous that would be! If you ever do something like this again, but where I could find my own accommodation etc. to make it more affordable, I’d sign up in a heartbeat! Love Italy. Have fun, and look forward to seeing your results posted next summer. :) Pip

I hear you Pip – it is a bit more ‘deluxe’ than I’m used to :) :) but I couldn’t turn down their wonderful offer to come over and work with them :) We’ll keep you posted on other things as they come up.

Wow, this looks awesome! I hope you put another one on next year when I’ve paid a few more things off. I’d love to join one of these, especially in this region. I was collecting sketch work from various artists in areas around Italy and France because of the lush lavender fields and beautiful cityscapes.
