Just back from the Sargent watercolor show in Brooklyn. I’m processing some notes about that extravaganza. In the meantime, here’s page from some other museum we stumbled into.

    Oh Mark, I’m jealous. What a great event to see so many of Sargent’s works up close.
    Regards to your wife. I’m sure she’s still taking photos! Me, too…and still painting and sketching. I have your tips written on the inside of my sketchbook.

      Hey Mike! good to hear from you again :) I’ll have some pics and analysis from the paintings up soon – just got to clear away some work work :) Not that it’s a replacement for seeing them – but I have some shots of the things that surprised me. More later on that.

    I’m going to see the Sargent exhibit next week with my students. I would love to bring them to a sketching event. Do you think you will ever do a workshop in NYC?

      I could certainly come down for one, also there is an Urban Sketchers NYC group that is pretty active – including our current VP. If you mail me at marc.taro(at)gmail we can talk about making it happen!
