Yes, it was the Metro Sketchcrawl today – but we did go above ground for a quick visit to Christchurch Cathedral. Beautiful woodwork in the beams, and plenty of stone carvings worth going back for someday.

    Elemental. Lovely simplicity Mark. The sepia ink is entirely appropriate.

      Oh, I have to admit – it’s pencil, then colored in photoshop :) I’m tricky that way.

    A very nice sketch; and people who sketch often don’t realize how challenging it is to sketch an architectural and very geometric interior like this,

    Very nice sketch, Marc. That’s my church, and from the upstairs choir loft (during sermons, when we’re not singing!) I’ve tried several times to sketch the interior. It’s really difficult to get the perspective right — and you’ve got it! Do come back sometime.
