Peerless Watercolor

May 13, 2012

Here’s something you might consider if you need the lightest possible watercolor kit. These are paper thin sheets of film coated with intense watercolor pigment. You’d only need this little booklet and a waterbrush. Great solution if you’re climbing Everest or something :)

I found one of those going through some stuff that my grandfather had left when he passed away!

Ya! I couldn’t even say where I got it – found it in drawer while packing the studio. It sure looks old fashioned. I read these were used by photo retouchers – nobody’s been doing that by hand for a while :)

Oh! I thought maybe you just bought it somewhere and wondered. Makes color mixing a bit interesting I bet! lol.

It has been in production since 1885 in the UK, and is still available.
