Vancouver Island

July 21, 2008

Just back from a week on Vancouver Island.

The place is an amazing. A rocky coast covered in giant bonsai sculpted by wind and water.

It’s hard to describe what it’s like walking through the rainforest. Towering trees all around you, the dark interior of the forest, carpets of ferns spotlit by shafts of light, roots wrapped around mossy rocks, waterfalls, caves, lakes choked with lilies.

Someday you’ll have to see it for yourself. These sketches hardly do it justice.

Grrrr. Your several trees are better than my one. I hate you.

    Not really. Nice work.

sounds like you CAN begin to describe what it’s like haha. These sketches make me miss the days I went camping as a kid. I was to young to appreciate the beauty of nature =\
