I think it’s really cool to see how often you practice. You update this blog almost daily, and with multiple drawings & paintings like these.
It’s no wonder you’re so frigging awesome. (especially since I realized you usually draw *more* than you actually post online.)
Believe it or now, I just woke up at 7:30am on a Sunday because I just felt the urge to draw without interruptions… and the first thing my rss reader greeted me with was this post…. pure inspiration!
Thank’s man, it’s great to hear back from ppl, especially if your getting a kick out of the art…:) it’s my favorite thing about the web – seeing all of the many many sketchbloggers out there, watching everyone progress – it’s like the best art school in history…just happy to keep up my little corner of the community :)
This style you’ve got going – where the focus is so forced and the rest of the picture just fades off into nothing – would make for a gorgeous comic. It could be one of those standing-around-talking ones, but just in front of awesome san Francisco architecture…
You have to be careful with all that architectural sketching, Marc. The Feds are already grabbing innocent people and harassing them for taking photos of buildings (because they might be terrorists). :)
I’ve been following you for a few months now. I love it and you have inspired me to go back to my sketching. It’s my goal to participate in the next world sketch crawl.
If I could make a suggestion – would you note the media you use on your sketches?

Sure, good reminder! I always forget, as it’s frequently the same stuff –
These are ball point pens and a pentel japan GFPK brush pen on cover stock.
