Hi! Your watercolors are so beautiful! Do you outline first with pencil before painting?
Hey Jenn – yes there’s a pencil drawing down first – but it’s very simple – more a guideline for drawing with the brush. Here’s some that show exactly what the drawing is like. With these figures it was a lot less tho!

Living in Australia makes it difficult to attend your events, but I still pick up a lot from your suggestions and from analysing your drawings and paintings (inspiraiton but also enjoyment).
Still would love a book/DVD of all these ideas/resources you put together… No pressure though ;)
I’m definitely thinking about book projects – we’ll see how things go this year! Ideas are brewing :)

I know it sounds silly, but I like the color of your pencil lines. Any special pencil you use?
Nope just normal graphite – must be something about the scan? I do use 0.7 (slightly bolder than the normal .5).
